ZoneSafe Visual Alert Systems

Reduce the risk of pedestrian/vehicle collisions on your worksite with activated warnings that integrate into signage, lights, and floor projections.

How do visual alert systems keep everyone safe, even without personnel tags?

  • Sensors trigger immediate, highly visible warnings in risk zones, alerting everyone nearby without needing personnel tags.
  • Visual warnings are projected or displayed directly into the environment, offering clear, universal alerts easily understood by visitors and diverse personnel.
  • These systems ensure active visual cues warn of approaching vehicles, enhancing awareness and reducing collision risk for all.

ZoneSafe keeps everyone safe on your worksite, even without personal tags, by deploying advanced visual alert systems. These dynamic systems, encompassing signs, lights, and floor projections, detect moving vehicles and activate alerts in their proximity, effectively address safety on bustling worksites where diverse operations involve moving vehicles and pedestrians in close proximity. They offer a highly effective solution to significantly reduce collision risks, especially when managing individual tags for all – including visitors or the public—is impractical.

How do visual alert systems work?

Visual alert systems operate by outfitting vehicles with sensors that detect their presence and movement. These sensors automatically trigger a warning when a vehicle approaches a predefined safety zone or identifies a potential hazard.

The alerts are delivered through highly visible signals like flashing lights or projected symbols, designed to instantly grab attention and indicate active vehicle movement or a present danger. This real-time system ensures warnings are only activated when a hazard exists, maintaining their relevance and impact.

  • Vehicles are equipped with sensors that detect their presence and movement.
  • When a vehicle approaches a predefined safety zone, these sensors automatically trigger a warning.
  • Alert devices use amber lights, flashing beacons, or projected symbols to instantly grab attention, signalling active heavy plant movement.
  • The system operates in real-time and only when a hazard is present, ensuring warnings are always relevant and impactful.

Tagless proximity warning solutions

Our tagless solutions provide detection, warning, and segregation without the need for people to wear proximity tags. The systems are designed to provide an active warning at barriers, gates, and doors, or integrate with flashing lights, activated signs, and projected warning symbols.

Visual alert system components

Active signage

Usually fitted next to worksite entry/exit points, doorways or near blind corners, ZoneSafe’s active signage alerts everyone close by to any approaching vehicles through the LED lights flashing in sequence at the top and bottom of the sign. Alternatively, active signage can be utilised to alert vehicles of passer-by.

Active beacons

Warning beacons flash red when vehicles approach (or when pedestrian access gates automatically lock), alerting pedestrian workers to any approaching vehicles. Beacons also flash green, indicating the way is clear when no vehicles are close by.

Traffic lights

Used to warn either pedestrian workers or to control worksite vehicles, ZoneSafe traffic light systems help keep operations running safely whether it’s warning pedestrian workers of approaching vehicles or telling vehicles to stop, controlling the flow of traffic.

Projected symbols

Warning signs are instantly projected onto the floor when a vehicle is approaching. This solution is most effective at blind corners or at the ends of storage or racking aisles, helping to warn of approaching vehicles.
