ZoneSafe Site Access Control
Manage who enters and exits on worksites through controlled access points.Â
How does a tag-activated system deliver controlled access?
- Immediate and accurate insights into exactly who is on site at any given time.
- Reduced manual checks, streamlining processes.
- Mitigated risks of accidents and associated liabilities.
- Optimised worker presence in vehicle operating areas, boosting proximity warning effectiveness.
The ZoneSafe site access control solution is a comprehensive system designed to precisely manage who enters and exits on worksites through controlled access points. It prioritises security and safety, aiming to prevent unauthorised access, enhance operational efficiency, and ultimately improve worksite safety.
ZoneSafe delivers controlled access through a combination of tag-activated systems and integrated safety features that manage movement for both personnel and vehicles across the worksite.
Workers use a ZoneSafe proximity warning tag to gain access to restricted or controlled vehicle operating areas by presenting their tag to access readers fitted to doors, gates or turnstiles. While workers are within the vehicle operating area, their proximity tag will vibrate if they are too close to vehicles fitted with a ZoneSafe proximity warning system.

What are ZoneSafe's core access control features?
ZoneSafe’s core access and safety features revolve around automated, hands-free restricted entry for both pedestrians and vehicles. By integrating active RFID tags, worn as part of daily PPE, with physical barriers like gates and turnstiles, the system enforces controlled access. It automatically grants or denies entry based on tag detection and authorization, thereby enhancing overall site security.
-
Active RFID tags are integral to workers' daily PPE, worn on jackets, lanyards, or in pockets.
-
The system automatically detects ZoneSafe tags at gates or controlled access points.
-
Tags trigger authorised entry or prevent access if not detected or unauthorised for an area, directly enforcing controlled entry.
-
Provides hands-free restricted access for pedestrians via doors, turnstiles, or gates.
-
Enables hands-free automated access for authorised vehicles through roller doors and barriers.
-
Integrates with existing physical barriers (gates, turnstiles, barriers) for control mechanisms.
What integrated safety features are offered for site control?
ZoneSafe offers a range of integrated safety features designed to proactively manage site control and prevent accidents:
Safety-Controlled Ingress/Egress: The system can automatically control ingress/egress points to only permit access when it is safe to do so.
Automated Crossing Barriers: For crossings, a physical barrier is automatically activated when vehicles approach to ensure pedestrians cannot walk in front of the vehicle. Once the vehicle is no longer present and at a safe distance, the barrier automatically reopens to allow crossing.
Traffic Light Integration: Traffic lights can also be incorporated into the full solution. On approach to pedestrian-dense areas, traffic lights can communicate with moving vehicles, automatically turning red to stop vehicles, reduce traffic weight, or allow pedestrian crossing.
Integration with Active Signage: The system can be integrated alongside other systems such as active signage to warn vehicles around pedestrian walkways and controlled intersections.
