Supporting Our Local Communities This Winter

Supporting Our Local Communities This Winter

Alongside our seasonal festivities, the team remained committed to giving back to the local community. This year, we were proud to collaborate with Trustee Joe Musker to support the ‘Musicians Helping the Homeless’ initiative.

About the ‘Musicians Helping the Homeless’ Initiative

Organised by the Absolute Music Trust, this initiative focuses on providing critical, practical aid during the winter season. While the Trust is well-known for its year-round creative workshops, this festive drive mobilises local businesses to coordinate the collection of essential supplies for those in immediate need.

Providing Essentials to Routes to Roots

To ensure our contributions had a direct local impact, all donations were delivered to Routes to Roots at their Genesis Centre hub in Poole. This fundamental charity provides a ‘one-stop’ support system for the homeless and vulnerably housed, offering hot food, showers, and professional advice to help individuals move toward secure housing.

Over recent weeks, our office served as a collection point for high-priority, non-perishable goods. We focused on practical items such as pasta, rice, and tinned proteins, which are ideal for distribution to those without regular kitchen access. To provide a festive touch, the team also included seasonal treats like mince pies to share some holiday cheer.

This collaborative effort resulted in a significant delivery of supplies to the Genesis Centre, ready for immediate use. We were honoured to support the vital frontline work conducted by Routes to Roots and the brilliant coordination provided by the Absolute Music Trust.

A Note of Appreciation

We would like to extend our sincere gratitude to Joe Musker for his exceptional organisation of the ‘Musicians Helping the Homeless’ drive, and to every member of our team whose contributions supported this significant local cause. Your generosity has ensured that we can provide both practical relief and a bit of festive cheer to our neighbours in need this winter.

Wishing everyone a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year from ZoneSafe and the wider Avonwood Developments team! 🎄❄️
