Proximity warning systems create predefined 360-degree detection zones around an aircraft, effectively alerting ground service vehicle (GSE) drivers to their proximity and preventing collisions. The system works by strategically placing ZoneSafe safety detection cones around aircraft, and equipping each ground service vehicle with an in-cab control unit and antenna. When a GSE enters the detection zone, an audio-visual alarm activates in the vehicle’s cab, warning the driver and thus reducing the risk of accidental collisions with aircraft.
