What is vehicle-activated signage and how does it work?
ZoneSafe’s vehicle-activated signage range are interactive flashing signs that automatically detect approaching vehicles and warn everyone of the imminent danger of an oncoming vehicle via flashing lights. A strategically placed vehicle-activated fork truck safety sign fitted next to a blind corner, doorway, at the end of aisles, exits or anywhere from where vehicles approach, will significantly reduce the risk of person-to-vehicle collisions and make your worksite a much safer place to work.
Using proximity warning technology, each sign is fitted with a proximity sensor, whilst a second proximity sensor is fitted to the forklift truck (or any other vehicle). Each sensor has a detection range of up to 50 metres giving plenty of time to warn of approaching danger. When the sign’s proximity sensor detects the forklift’s sensor, the fork truck safety sign flashes via LEDs fitted at the top and bottom of the sign, warning everyone in the area of the approaching vehicle. Once the vehicle has left the detection area, the lights stop flashing.
